Susan Brown, our founder, started her business when her son (and company namesake), Pete, was born. When her babysitter quit, she knew that she needed to find something she could work on while giving her the flexibility to stay home with Pete. She had always loved art and painting and is more comfortable with a paintbrush than a pen. Fast forward to today, and Pete is now working full time in the business along with Susan! For Pete's Sake Pottery has been featured in HGTV magazine, People, Anthropologie and Talbots, among others, and is well known for pottery that is lovingly hand painted with Susan's signature style.
